Bob Peplin, PE, BCEE

Client Service Manager, Water/Wastewater

Bob grew up with a fascination for Jacques Cousteau and marine biology. This was the start of a career that morphed into environmental engineering.

He completed graduate school during the implementation of the USEPA’s  Clean Water Construction Grants program which focused on wastewater treatment.  McCombs-Knutson (Sambatek’s predecessor) provided the introduction into the design and construction of treatment facilities for Bob.

This was followed by a period working on projects for a national engineering firm directly related to potable water treatment related to the Safe Drinking Water Act. Bob returned to Sambatek and brought his expertise in the fields of wastewater and water treatment. This provided the opportunity to work on renewable energy and water reuse projects.

Bob keeps active with road cycling, downhill skiing, sailing, and trips to the Boundary Waters. He also frequents the Twins and Wild games each season.

I enjoy the diversity of projects and the merging of disciplines of wastewater and water treatment technologies through water reuse projects. Renewable energy and nutrient recovery projects integrate treatment technologies with agriculture issues to help solve non-point source pollution issues."
