Brady Busselman, PE, LEED AP, CPESC, CPSWQ

Practice Leader, Commercial

Brady was initially interested in building design, and technical drafting appealed to him early on. By the time he completed his college education, he was set on becoming a civil engineer. As an Engineer-in-Training (EIT), Brady began working at Sambatek and initially spent much of his time drafting and designing, gradually moving into a project manager role. Sixteen years later, he has been inspired by the challenges and opportunities he has faced throughout his evolving career.

After graduating from South Dakota State University in February 2002, Brady grew his career by working closely with a multi-disciplined team of subconsultants including geotechnical, environmental, survey, and traffic, as well as coordinating with architects and land use counsel on many large-scale retail projects in the region.

Brady’s multi-faceted project management proved useful while spending two years as the water resource design lead for the east segment of the 16-mile Green Line Extension (Southwest) Light Rail Transit project for the Metropolitan Council.

With a robust portfolio of project experience, Brady provides innovative and cost-saving solutions to his commercial clients.

Brady enjoys spending time with his wife, Rylee, and 2-year old daughter Addy. When he has a chance for a (rare) night out, Rylee and Brady enjoy seeing live music and trying out different restaurants.

While I’ve enjoyed some variety in the recent past, I’m happy to have re-established myself in the land development realm, assisting clients on various project types including industrial, retail, hospitality, residential, office, and mixed-use. As civil engineers, I believe we have the ability to bring value far beyond simply preparing plans and specifications, and I enjoy finding opportunities beyond traditional civil scope to help maximize a project’s success."
