City of Maple Plain Downtown Master Plan

As the City of Maple Plain’s official city planner, Sambatek led the effort to update their comprehensive plan and establish three distinct plans for revitalization of the city’s downtown and gateway districts. Because the city is physically divided in half by Highway 12, we focused on the need for both pedestrian and multi-modal access throughout the entire city with main connections centered within key community hubs. As a result of this effort, the city is experiencing new growth including a park-and-ride station funded by MnDOT and Metro Transit.

In addition, the city received Met Council funding for the revitalization project as well as MnDOT support and assistance for a HAWK pedestrian crossing of Highway 12.
