Sambatek Graduates from DBE Program

DBE Graduation

We are pleased to announce that our company has graduated from the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program under the Minnesota Unified Certification Program!

During the great recession, we took on bold new initiatives to emerge as a DBE firm and enter the transportation/transit markets. Ever since, our company has been able to make great inroads on federally funded projects led by the Metropolitan Council and other public sector clients. Today, we employ more than 100 people and are recognized as a top design consulting firm both in the public and private sectors.

“Thanks to the new doors opened by the DBE program, we were able to lay a strong foundation for lasting partnerships through our team’s hard work and outstanding track record of project performance. We are grateful to our clients, prime partners, and others for giving us the opportunity to earn their trust. It is the confidence in our team and the strength of our partnerships that propel us to celebrate this great honor of graduating from the DBE program and look forward to a bright future!” states our President & CEO, Sirish Samba, PE.

Tracey Jackson from the Metropolitan Council states, “Congratulations to Sambatek in reaching this huge milestone by completing the DBE program. The MnUCP partners are proud of your accomplishments and honored to have supported you in your journey from subconsultant to prime consultant. Thank you for sharing your success with us and contributing to the success of this industry and our region.”

We’ll continue to support various government projects through other certifications such as Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). All existing projects currently under contract will not be affected by this change.
