TRUST SAMBATEK’S
Knowledge
In November 2021, Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), an investment of $1.2 trillion over five years. $550 billion of that will go toward new investments and programs, including $111 billion toward new roads and bridges. Several federal grant opportunities have been created with the goal of assisting cities, counties, and states to advance their transportation systems.
Sambatek has experience in successfully submitting federal Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) and Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight & Highway Projects (INFRA) grant applications.
Sambatek’s planning team also understands the complexities of combining different transportation funding programs, including the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Program, Transportation Alternatives Set Aside (formerly TAP), Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), and the National Highway Performance Program (NHPP). Our team is experienced in working for Departments of Transportation and regional planning organizations, and we possess in-depth knowledge of federal funding provided through the FAST Act and previously through MAP-21.
Our planning team also has experience with parks and recreation grant funding programs, including the Land and Water Conservation (LAWCON) program, the Federal Recreational Trails program, and other state-funded programs. Sambatek’s team of planners, civil engineers, and landscape architects can assist you with grant programs on all public lands.
