We’re excited to share that Sambatek’s Chipotle at Preserve Village project in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, has been nominated for the 2025 MSCA STARR Awards in the New Construction: Retail Single Tenant category. The STARR Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in Minnesota’s commercial real estate industry, highlighting the best in design, development, and community integration.
Sambatek partnered with Jerry’s Enterprises, Inc., Wilkus Architects, and Sever Construction Company to deliver this 2,343-square-foot freestanding Chipotle designed with both functionality and community connection in mind. Our team provided surveying, engineering, and landscape architecture services, transforming an underutilized section of the Preserve Village shopping center into an inviting and efficient retail space.

The restaurant features Chipotle’s signature “Chipotlane” drive-through, allowing customers to conveniently pick up online orders while maintaining safe and efficient site circulation. Enhanced pedestrian pathways, sustainable materials, and thoughtful landscaping work together to create a modern, walkable space that complement the surrounding development and enhances the customer experience.
By blending functional site design, sustainability, and community-focused details, this project exemplifies how strong collaboration and design innovation can elevate a retail destination. We’re proud to see this work recognized and look forward to celebrating alongside our industry peers at the 2025 MSCA STARR Awards on November 18!
