Breaking Ground in Lakeville: Sambatek Supports New Industrial Development

Earlier this month, Sambatek joined project partners, local officials, and community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Lakeville 35 Logistics Center, a major step forward in expanding Lakeville, Minnesota’s industrial footprint.

As the project’s engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture consultant, Sambatek is proud to play a key role in supporting the development of this 189,678-square-foot speculative industrial/office warehouse. Located north of Juniper Way and south of 210th Street West, this facility is the first phase of a two-phase development planned along County Road 70.

This development reflects a strong collaboration between Likewise Partners (Developer), Gardner Builders (Contractor), Ed Farr Architects (Architect), the City of Lakeville, and Dakota County. Sambatek is honored to be part of a team committed to delivering a high-quality facility that meets the region’s growing demand for flexible, modern logistics space.

The building is designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind. Highlights include:

  • 32-foot clear height
  • 50 dock doors and five drive-in doors
  • Up to 189,678 SF of contiguous space (minimum divisible to 21,000 SF)
  • Estimated completion: Q4 2025

In addition to its design and strategic location near major transportation corridors, including I-35, Progressive Rail, and Airlake Airport, the project has secured a $4 million C-PACE loan through PACE Loan Group to support energy-efficient features. These improvements include HVAC upgrades, ENERGY STAR windows, high-efficiency lighting systems, and other sustainable building measures. As the only speculative industrial building scheduled to be delivered in Lakeville in 2025, the Lakeville 35 Logistics Center represents a timely and strategic response to current market demand.

At Sambatek, we take pride in providing responsive, integrated solutions that help bring projects like this to life. We look forward to supporting this development through successful completion and continuing to contribute to Lakeville’s economic growth.
