Ben Robeck didn’t always know he’d end up in engineering. It started with a front-row seat to a major interchange project near his home, watching it take shape and wondering how it all came together.
Today, he’s Sambatek’s Practice Leader for Transportation with more than 14 years of experience working on everything from local streets to complex interchanges. What keeps it interesting is that no two projects are the same. Each one presents a new challenge.
A few projects stand out. The TH 169 interchanges in Elk River pushed the team to think creatively within tight constraints. The TH 19 reconstruction in Northfield highlights the kind of collaboration and community impact that makes the work meaningful.
For Ben, it comes down to making smart use of resources and delivering safe, reliable infrastructure for the public. He’s especially interested in how better tools and technology can continue to improve how projects are delivered.
Outside of work, you’ll find him golfing, on the water, or spending time with his family.
