Dan Mattison oversees Sambatek’s public operations, including project delivery, staffing, project health, budgets, and client relationships. He brings 18 years of transportation experience and previously managed large projects at MnDOT, giving him firsthand knowledge of agency expectations, public-sector processes, and the steps required to move complex projects forward. Dan works closely with project managers and technical teams to make sure responsibilities are clear, resources are available, and potential risks are addressed early. He helps teams manage schedules, budgets, staffing needs, and client communication without losing sight of the technical details that drive a successful project. His leadership style is direct, practical, and focused on follow-through. Dan also supports strong relationships with public clients by helping teams understand their priorities and respond to changing needs. His role is to create the structure and accountability needed for Sambatek’s public teams to deliver consistent, high-quality work while supporting employees and meeting commitments to clients.
