Through our continued support of the Engineering Education Foundation of America (EEFA), Sambatek is proud to provide a $1,500 scholarship to a student pursuing an engineering education. This year, the Sambatek Scholarship was awarded to Hay Wah, a student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City majoring in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Business Administration.

Investing in the Engineering Workforce
EEFA works to advance the engineering profession through charitable investments in workforce development and education. Its scholarship program helps students pursuing engineering and land surveying degrees reduce the financial barriers associated with their education.
For the 2024-25 academic year alone, EEFA awarded nearly $55,000 in scholarships to students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering at ABET-accredited institutions. Scholarship recipients are recognized annually through the Foundation and its scholarship program.
Supporting programs like this aligns closely with Sambatek’s commitment to strengthening the engineering profession and developing the next generation of technical leaders.
Leadership Beyond Sambatek
Sambatek Chair, CEO, and President Sirish Samba, PE, has been closely involved with the Foundation since its beginning as one of its founding Board members and currently serves as Board Chair and President.
His involvement builds on years of service to the engineering industry, including leadership as Past President and National Director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC Minnesota).
For Sirish and Sambatek, supporting engineering education is about more than providing financial assistance. It is an investment in the people who will design infrastructure, solve complex challenges, strengthen communities, and move the profession forward.
