Sambatek worked closely with the city of Dayton and their consulting city engineer to prepare the plans and specifications for the extension of Dayton Parkway, from approximately 800 feet north of CR 81 North to the intersection of West French Lake Road. The project was a new alignment that included a four-lane urban section roadway, storm sewer, 20-inch watermain, landscaping with irrigation, and streetlights. The project also included the design of a roundabout at the intersection with a major private access servicing a proposed one-million-square-foot commercial facility. Coordination between the adjacent developer and the city was essential in resolving this project successfully. This project's watermain and storm sewer were constructed in the fall 2022, and the roadway was completed in the spring 2023. Sambatek provided the construction staking for the project and construction administration with the construction observation provided by city forces.
